SO what was the outcome this weekend at the ISR meeting?? Was it constructive or the same "ole squabble fest"?
What happened with the purposed Sprint Series and rules clarifications?? Anything?

After A Long Discussion With A ISR Official At A Snowmobile Show He Was Stunned To Find Out That The Members Were Not Voting On Proposed Rule Changes At The USSA Rules Meetings. He Said The Rule Changes Should Be Voted On At The Various Rules Meetings Before Coming To The ISSR Meeting For Possible Changes. He Was Not Aware That The Members Did Not Vote On The Champ Weight Rule Last Year Or The Radio Rule This Year. Do Other Assoc. Members Vote At There Meetings On Proposed Rule Changes ?

Who was stunned, Zernia,Gokey or Aaen? The subject of radios came up on Saturday afternoon, your team knows it cause you opposed any change. On Sunday the board session approved the suggestion of radio usage being dropped. It was proposed to ISR by SCM and USSA under separate submissions, the pro's and con's were discussed and it was voted on. The vote was to no longer allow them, with MIRA being a exception due to the many laps and pit stops. If you check on a earlier post, you will see that I felt it was too bad they got dropped, since I'm a radio proponent, but reality is, the input from most was right, radios were used improperly and thats why they were dropped. Simply a case of the bad operators making it hard for everyone. Happens all the time in life. Used to be old ladies could get on planes without taking their shoes off, now were are all bad guys until proved differently. As to the weight rule, again your team was aware and was part of Saturday's discussion two years ago. The position that USSA was to take as indicated by the board on Sunday was to go with combined weight. That's how we voted on the subject two years ago. Believe me, it was a hard vote for me cause personally, cause I did not agree with it, (hell, I'm still a 350 pound weight rule guy) but that was the board directive. Do we ask the drivers about everything that comes up at ISR? No, simply cause some of the issues are not on the agenda at the time. Actually many times the agenda isn't even out when we have our convention. Wally, Nick, and Matt, or Marcel don't always agree with USSA on all subjects, but I think they will support me on this, Simply we are not always aware of issues that will come in front of the ISR group until the actual meeting.
By the way, send me a PM on who was shocked to hear of this, since I consider all of the owners of ISR to be fully aware of how it's done.
I am not at all concerned with bringing the error of their ways to their attention.
