I can't say enough about how well you guys all did this weekend. You went out there and put on a VERY professional show and acted like professionals all weekend long, that's what it is all about. I was very proud of the entire organization. We have received nothing but positive feedback from the race promoters and their event sponsors and we are looking forward to building a great new tradition in Moose Lake.

I would also like to thank all of the IWA staff and volunteers. What a great group of people to work with. They ran a piece on the TV news in Duluth about the race. You can see it by clicking HERE

We were a little nervous about the change in format with the promoter only paying $4000 of the race purse, but even with the low amount of entries (40 total) we were still able to pay out $7000. If we get 50 entries or more, the purse will be $8000 or more. It will take a few races to get our percentages nailed down but we are even more enthused about the change now as it helped our promoter be profitable and that makes them even MORE excited to plan for next year and beyond.

Another great thing about the weekend was our new retriever (which I have nicknamed "FloatZilla"). It worked perfectly and that really helps the show. Thanks also to the Ely crew for bringing their new retriever down for the weekend. It also worked great!

I hope all of you that were at Moose Lake plan to make the trip to Ely in 2 weeks. It's going to be another awesome event!

It was an awesome race site! the fans had great viewing and it was close enough to the Twin Cities that, I think some of the spectators made the trip up there to watch.

Dawn especially liked it because of the facilities available, like HOT showers and being close to town. Thanks Moose Lake for having us!

Excellent Job Folks!

Sat. was the smoothest day of racing I have been to in the 4 years we have raced. Location was excellent, loading the 4 wheeler on the trailer was a waste of time. Next year we will leave it home. I don't think it was over 5 minutes of walking no matter what you wanted to do.

Take good care of the Promoters as there maybe another race site as good but I doubt there is one better. Absolutely beautiful for the FANS!!

Great race site. For the first race of the season, I was glad to see everything go so smooth.

Go to wdio.com to view the sports report video from June 18th to see more watercross footage from Moose Lake! The reporter who rode with Kenny and nicknamed him "The Bomb" did the piece on it last night!
Pretty cool!
