Well Gent's after what seemed like a long 3 1/2 years I am finally moving back to Michigan. The timing couldn't be better with some of the responsibilities I will need to take on back in the US. I hope to make it to a couple of tracks this winter. My hope is that there is some cooperation between the associations and oval sprint racing becomes the premier winter racing event it deserves! Dave, That is great to hear, you were among many of the central michigan race circuit drivers I enjoyed watching race back in the day that fueled my desire to become a oval racer.
If you ever have the itch to give vintage racing a try, there are plenty of tracks that would love to have you attend.

Thank's guys. My plans are not set but I assume I will be a spectator at a couple of events. The EPT now has a flagman and I am sure he can run the show just as well. When I was flagging I had a really nice team around me with Peter Vandoller, Rob and Betty Dutton, Marcel, Penny and Paul Bedford, Brad Poulen, Tim Lee and some other French guy's in tech(there name escapes me now). If anyone was hurt flagging I would consider steping in until they were back on their feet. I may help a team or two along the way in the pit's.
I am not sure what I will be doing right now that I'm back in the United States. My brother was involved in a car accident and has been in intensive care for twenty days. A lady turned in front of him and he hit her head on with his Vette. We think when the airbag deployed it broke evert bone in his face and one in his neck. They put 50 screws and 8 plates to hold the bones in his face together and wired his jaw two weeks ago and he now is getting better. Tom runs my dads shop and now my dads is 83 and I don't really want to seem him in there 9 hours a day. I am assuming Tom will make a full recovery and will return to work when he recovers fully. In the mean time I plan to help out until that day comes. I'll keep you guys posted on any change. David

Get well soon Tom ... Tom raced F1 twin tracks very successfully with no serious injuries that I can remember ; then a fluke car accident hurts him bad... Sometimes things just seem unreal in situations like this. I know Tom is a tough old racer at heart and will be back on his feet again soon.--- mike gifford
