Well it started off like any other Race Weekend.

It consisted of 3 qualifiers, Thursday Motley Crue, Friday Black Crows, Saturday Rascal Flatt and a Sunday Final Big and Rich.

Weatherdon started out clearly in the lead at the start of the weekend. He was the first to arrive in the Paddock. The Dejong crew barely made the first Qualifier. Apparently got completely lost with a GPS.

As Tracks go it was well layed out, with the Pit area being the near by Marina with well Stocked Boats.

Day One Weatherdon took the lead with Dejong close behind, Moore was out when be blew up (chucked) mid concert, some of the Debris hit me which pushed me to the back of the pack. Schonnop broke down altogether with a complete pass out.

Day two Weatherdon came out strong he passed the coffee and went right to the start with a beer for breakfast Dejong spun a little out of the hole. I ran mid pack with Moore pulling up behind after a quick 6 Tylenol pit stop. Schonnop once again had a complete pass out and went down. This time he had some body damage when his upset crew decided to Marker him up.

Shortly after that Dejong Blew up (chucked) and went quickly to the back. The fish ate well that night. With Dejong and Schonnop out I made a quick pass into second when Moore went completely off the track and into the sofa with a female distraction.

Then Weatherdon with a clear lead crashed hard when a jealous boyfriend sabotaged his handling. It was a right off so he loaded his trailer and headed home.

We are heading into the last qualifier tonight. It’s a tight race, but Schonnop's got work to do with 2 DNF's. Budgets are getting low as we load the 12th case of beer into the boat. Anything could happen before the final.

Richard,
I think that the only way we can really get the true experience without actually being there is to have photos of these DNF's!! Please tell me that you didn't forget to get a few snapshots!

Must have been quite a sight/sound with all those radical race engines maxxed out for that kind of dyno session...

Well it’s the Sunday Final!!

The last qualifier was close. Track conditions weren’t great due to some rain, made for a lot of wet t-shirts on the fans.

Schonnop Jetted a little to rich and was bogging at the start. I my self must of fowled a plug cause I was only running on one cylinder. Dejong and Moore were off to a good start but nearly wiped our coming out of the pits on the dock. Dejong was slowed down a bit when a cheering fan got on his shoulders and took her top off. Schonnop was scrambling to re: jet, insistent not to have another DNF.

It was looking good for Moore until that female distraction showed up again and he Crashed right into the bed. Dejong, Schonnop and I went off the track and it took us 2 hours to find a cab to get us back to it. Pretty much a 3 way tie.

As we go into the final this afternoon,
Dejong is having second thoughts if he can handle this sport. Schonnop surprisingly is in good form. I myself think I am getting to old for this abuse to my body. And Moore, well he’s just gotta get his priorities straight, racing or women?

Rumor has it they are putting some hay down to help the track conditions; this could prove disastrous for Dejong.

Well its back to the pits, another stop at the parts/Beer store and were good to go for the checkers.
