the biggest thing I hear against the mod 600 is that they want current plastic out there . So how about if they would have to be the current plastic that is being used in snow cross ? and maybe only in the pro class ? just a suggestion I would really like to see this pass . Too bad people will miss out on deals at hay days because we don't vote till after that.

yeah current plastic and pro stock class only to add the mod 600 to, I think that is what everyone is talking about Kenny that i have been talking to is to try it in the pro class for a couple of years before deciding to add it to the semi pro class, this is a big decision and all input is welcomed on this topic

I hope everyone who has a concern about the 600 mod decision comes to the meeting to voice their opinions. If it passes I would like to see it as inexpensive as possible for racers to participate in a new class.

If the mod 600s are let in then the whole thing would have to follow the current mod rules for plastic. AKA and edge would still work. Then the stockers can narrow there front ends up like a mod and i think it would be fairly even. I dont think that this decision has to be made by haydays. Most snowcross sleds are at there cheapest at the end of the snocross season. So there really isnt a must. To keep this cost effective then i think that the mods can not retain any TITANIUM Shafts and MUST have a Functional afram or traling arm front suspension so at least we keep it looking as stock as posible. I dont think the solid fronts like the new yorkers would do anything for our sport. I also think that the mods must retain standard stock plastic! NO lightweight hoods or panels. Lets try to keep this the affordable class. I also think that this class should retain the rear suspension offered by that manufacturer.

Very good input MIke and Shawn those are some great suggestions, the main goal is to make the competition better, keeping sleds current and trying to keep cost to a minimal.

I thought the point was to allow current equipment. Eastern sleds have lightweight hoods, Solid fronts etc. It sounds like you want to allow 600 mod motors but not let the incumbent sleds run. My mod meets the IWA rules 100% as they are written today. Shawn let's be realistic. What kind of adgenda do you have? Making current sleds change for the sake of an appearing A-arm is stupid. If you want a piece of plastic added to the outside of my belly pan to make it look more like an Trailing arm, fine, but I can't see how these stupid restrictions will save anyone money. THIS IS NOT SNOWCROSS!THERE IS FACTORY SUPPORT LIMMITED TO ONE BRAND AND 2 DRIVERS. You will drive out all the small guys if you push this A-Arm thing or factory plastic. Just because I merely have 1/4 inch of travel and my hood design is only available on a utility sled does not make my sled any less legal than yours. The rules need to remain simple. How about you eliminate gas cylinders and electronic suspension control, Better yet lets standardise to 2.52 pitch tracks and make it legal to only use a ripsaw! How about Factory only available parts from a designated dealer, no customs.

Shawn the only proble is that sno-x sleds from 2006 and up have lightwieght hoods stock, the a/c has had a lightwieght hood since 05. I do not belive any factory sno-x sled has light wieght panels stock though.

they run twins ole. Bobby a single pipe is not the way to go most of the sno-x motors where ment to run with twins (at least the good ones) the motors have been ported to run twins and the cdi's are set-up for the higher rpms. Speedwerx makes twins for cats, you can get twins from slp and the factory for Poo's and Ski-doo factory has twins for doo's along with d-max and few others. I am also sure rugland will and has made twins for all three.

Derick I do realise these pipes are avalible but in order to get factory race pipes usually you have to be on a a race program, for instance Polaris doesn't back watercross,so un less you were to luck out and find them on line or at haydays, you would have to get them made wich I'm sure isn't cheap. I've talked to SLP directly and they can not sell me the polaris pipes outrite. so un less you luck out or know some one you're out of luck. It was just an Idea to keep things simple for now.
