14 in Pro Open qualified for points Money
Only 6 in Pro Stock
This is why we asked the Pro Open drivers that do not run Pro Stock if they would run if it gets changed to Mod 600. Brian Jr. might run a sled with an engine from Mike's Ice oval sled. Nobody else wanted to build & maintain 2 sleds. One sled is enough was the typical reply.

I have heard of more racers that will join the class with 600 mod in it, I have yet to hear 1 person say they would quit the class if 600 mod got added to it that currently runs the class full time.

Who are they? Like I said many times, if we are going to add more Pro entries on current looking sleds to the show, I am all for it.

our ski doo 600 mods are in the low 150 hp range and will give a stock 800 a hell of run when tuned properly. i think you guys will be surprised how well they run.

down the road it would be nice to have a good mod 600 that I could run in both classes. Lets face it the new motors are getting harder and harder to run. Polaris doesn't make a 800 with carbs, the snowcross sleds still have carbs as far as I know . And no I don't plan to build a mod 600 as for now, I have three mod 800 motors but those parts will get harder to find cause they don't make them any more . I do plan on voting for the mod 600 I think it can only help a dying class. And yes the Packers did win tonight

Derrick Mc Pheeters, Jon Novotany, Jr., and Matt said the only way he will run in that class again will be with a 600 mod, plus not to mention all the guys from out east, them ones alone will increase the class which in turn will help generate more revenue for the IWA in class entry fees and membership dues to help ensure long term growth and stability for the sport itself, this new rule will not make anything obsolete, it gives drivers more options on motors and chassis that fit there budget with the slow economy, and has the high potential for better competition, I respect what you have to say Mark and understand where your coming from but has anyone said they would stop running in that particular class if mod 600 is added to it? if there is please speak up.

I just wonder how many say they will build a 600 mod and how many will actually build one two sleds cost alot more to maintain than one and let me tell you running one sled in two classes can cost when you are runing back to back heats. Now some people complain about the rules for the stock class lets not forget there will now be more rules for that class if it changes and possibly more tech time. Just my 2 cents.

i understand that it is nice to see current sleds on the water but isnt it more important to encourage growth in the sport on sleds in general ?
