Mike,
Remember that you were running Semi Pro Open and Pro Stock (they run back to back), if you run both Pro classes you get a break between classes. It kind of broke the boredom for us in Grantsburg.
Why more rules? Mod chassis rule is in place. Let's keep it simple.

Last time we discussed this class it went in to many different directions I don't want to see more rules but it always seems to go that way because there is always somebody not happy, I too want to keep it simple. Kenny why don't you run two classes like alot of us have ?

I am a single guy , I work long days 6 days a week , I come home cook my own meals, do my own wash, and clean my house, cut the grass . I show up at races usually drive minimum of 6 hours ,can't afford to pay a pit guy, the only help I get on the line is by the 812 crew or Aaron's dad . do you have enough reasons yet! on the other hand I love what I do , I am proud of what I have accomplished . I would love to run 2 classes but don't have time to work on 2 sleds , but if a guy could run 2 classes with the same sled what would be so wrong with that?

there will be big tech issues. you are intermixing sleds. stock with mods. where do you draw the lines at? This will be harder to tech than what we have now. If we completly open the chasis up then the stock sleds will not be able to run the stock drags then and there you lose entries. This will need lots of thought.

I thought Pro Drivers are supposed to stay out of the Stock Drag classes anyway. If you run a mod chassis you will run mod drags.
Tech will be NO different. All chassis need to comply to the mod chassis rules. 600's will be checked for cc only, all 601cc motors and larger will need to be stock and be eligible for tear down, same as now.
NO MORE RULES... IWA has this covered completely with rules they have now.
Class change will allow mod chassis in Pro Stock class and 600 cc motors or smaller can be cranked up to no end.
600cc mod East coast sleds will be allowed to run in Grantsburg.
Keep it simple... this is a test class.

To say that this class will be more difficult to tech than the current Pro Stock class is a joke. Shawn does have a point on the few stock drag sleds that would have to remain stock to compete, but in my opinion, that would be a sacrifice worth making. If they can lighten the chassis, stock 800 motors can compete just fine in the mod drags. Maki even won the drags with a stock motor.

Maki runs with a semi stock motor. he has some extra add ons on it. so it would not pass for a stock motor. well it will be tough to call it a test class. If a few people go out and spend 5g on a mod motor why would they want to see the class go away. IF this happens it will stay.
If i take a stock sled and narrow the front end up can my sled run in stock drags? Because if it cant run in stock drags i will not run the new oval class.

5G for a mod motor. You are paying too much. You can get it done for way less thn that
