What the whole deal would be is if we are stuck with a 36 inch stance it would not even be worth racing in grantsburg. the N Y rs would win hands down. a narrow sled will spank a wide sled all day long. What i am saying is we need rules that will accomidate both organizations no matter what race we at the rules can apply anywhere. There is no need to say i need to be openminded. As i stated the motor is the spendy part of this change so if someone is going to build a new motor they would not want the class to go away after 1 year. SO all in all we need to get this right the 1st time so we dont have to make any major changes in a year.

Bobby i am just throwing out ideas. Like i said this is something that has to be done right the first time so we dont loose drivers. I really dont think we need a ski stance rule. I think we just need to redefine a few rules. All in all let let semi pro stock narrow there sled up to what they want also. This will be a good for the sport. i think it will have less sinking and better handling sleds. It is a cheap way to make racing better for the crowd. These are just some more ideas.

Leave the Semi Pro class alone... there were 26 entry's in Grantsburg.
What happen to the guy who said a mod 600 will never produce what HP an 800 stocker will produce. Run a stock 04 rev and narrow it up. If the class doesn't work all you need to do is widen your sled back out.

Shawn I know you are just tossing Idea's out there. As is every one else just don't be quick to shoot down others Idea's that's all. I do agree with some of what you are saying but we just need to find the happy medium so we do get it rite the first time. and yes leave the semi pro class alone for now and maybe add a semi pro improved stock (600 mod narrowed more) class in the future for the top semi pro's or make semi pro stock, beginner stock and ad the imp stock to split up the top drivers from the beginners to give new guys a chance at winning and keep them from getting discouraged with the sport as I and other could have easily done.

the changes for the pro stock 800 class as follows which should be voted upon
1. mod motor up to 600cc
2. mod chassis rules for whatever motor you are running aka either 600 mod or 601cc to 800 cc stock
3.for stock 800 drags the same rules will apply as mentioned above as some drivers let other people run their sled in drags, and as always stock drags are for semi pro drivers only as per the current rules
this is as simple as it gets, all tech has to do is determine the motor you are running which they already do so this will not add anything to it
as for a name change for the class it can probably stay the same but that is a very minor detail because we need to keep it simple and this is as simple as it gets.

OK,
After racing against one of the IWA stockers in the 600 Mod class I for sure am convinced that the sleds are very equal. Leo was in the pack with some of our fastest 600 mods and went toe to toe. He placed 3rd in the class of 12 EWA drivers. If anyone has any comments of concerns you should talk to Dennis, Kenny, Aaron, and Leo. They are convinced. I look forward to bringing my 600 mod to grantsburg next year!
