I suspect the Iron Dog purse will get higher than that if Sailer Pailer ends up being the VP and her husband Todd continues to race in it.

Just to clarify, the purse is normally over $100,000.

Around $50,000 goes to the winning team.

If "the first dude" races in it, will there be black helicopters following the AC chase plane? Or would it be vice-versa?

If Palin is elected, it will be interesting to see if she will be allowed to come to the start of the race anymore. Normally she would come out and wish all the racers luck before they take off.

Like her or not, it was cool to see our governor out in -25F weather like everyone else.

The helicopters, heck they will have F-22s escorting them, why mess around?

An oval guy here sounds a little bitter over the fact that crosscountry is getting alot of exposure right now. I think all the national press helps all forms of snowmobile racing, and snowmobiling in general. Being I'm a oval fan first and foremost, I'd like to see oval racing get some world wide exposure like the x-games has brought to sno-x, and most recently, the presidential election to cross country. Bashing the possible "first dude", and what he's accomplished isn't gonna help bring oval racing into the limelight. If his wife ends up VP, maybe a invite to Palin to see the ERWC would be a good start ta getting the national media to recognize that top snowmobile athletes, all unique in there own way in being able to prepare and drive a sled to a world championship, can be found in multiple variations of snowmobile racing.

My vision is better then my hearing...shut up and show me something.
