Great schedule. Also good to see that Valcourt does not overlap with any USSA race. This means hopefully we will see some USSA drivers out East for the "grande spectacle" Grand Prix De Valcourt Feb 20 -22.

Yes watcher, the race will be held at the Portage County Fair Grounds off Hwy. B in Amherst. The track is in need of updated maintenance, hoping to have 4/10 with big sweepers. Haven't started grading yet, just got the for sure a couple of hours ago. Many things need to still be lined up, community is pulling together to get it done in a short period of time. Race will be put on by Amherst Fire Department and Amherst Lions Club, joint venture. I'd also like to thank Dan Behn of Weyauwega Fire and Ice group for speaking on behalf of their races and helping to convince Amherst community that this can be positive for our community. Bales of hay that are ready will be shared with Wega and Amherst. Which were made by Dan Behn, John Collom, myself and Vince. Also hoping to have test and tune day weather permitting. More details as accomplishments are made.

Damn Hanke - looks like you type faster than me!!! Some double info here but you folks get the picture.
And Steve, don't be so modest........ Really!
Watcher,
Just spoke with one of the group members from Amherst (Vince)and race for the 2nd & 3rd is a go! Just need a little cooperation from mother nature in the form of cold air!!! This should give folks a good shot at gettin their stuff tuned up HOT for E/R with Plymouth to follow and the beauty of it is all 4 weekends in Jan. are within 230 miles or less of each other. Yes the track is just off Hwy 10 and County "B". Should be very similar to Weyauwega. The facility is the Portage county fairgrounds. Accommodations should not be a problem as their about midway between Stevens Point and Waupaca. This was an important weekend to fill, I hope the Midwest racers take full advantage of this. Ya can nurse your New Years hangover while your drivin to Amherst. By the way, the promotion of this event will be a group effort between the volunteer fire dept, & the lions club with proceeds going to various charitable organization as I understand it. I would also like to mention that up till two weeks ago, the promoters we're going to table this event until next season but a guy by the Name of Steve Hanke somehow lit a fire under this one and it took off in a mater of a couple of days ------ Kudos Steve! Details will follow, I'm told that they will do their best to get a web site put together for logistics & timing info.
WINNERS:

Are never intimidated
Don't give up
Are professional
