Which really was better? Trailing arms or A-arms?
I don't know about you guys, but that was a much more fullfilling debate then whether Obama or McCain will bring about "Change".
Just my lurkin .02 cents worth...

Trailing arms are better. They distribute the load forces to the center of the chassis. A-Arms are simple "showroom fluff".
Oil would be cheaper if the greenies stopped using it.

Trailing arms blow and are only good when you need to flip your Poo on it's side to check the size of the hole from the chaincase exploding.

I dunno Dick, I believe a-arms were "change" we didn't need...look how the country has hit the skids since the "global" change to a-arms...
Bring back the trailing arms and restore the good fortune of the US of A!!!!
Instead of chanting drill, baby, drill, chant 4 bars 4-ever!!! 4 bars 4-ever!!!!!
See, isn't this much better than calling people names over their political idealogy?
Probably not, but for a few seconds, this was the old trash board I almost got fired from my job for posting on....seems a lot harsher and crueler than it used to be...sad.

Trailing arms handle fast fireroad cornering better and A-arms handle the bumps near Hurley better.

I agree with MC when it comes to most things sled related. Aaron had a brand new Polar 500 XCSP back in 2000 and it was the only Polaris I had spent much time on with trailing arms. Keeps each front side from working as independent from each other as A arms, so I believe it should probably rail better in corners.....that being said, the stock ZR's of the mid-90's kicked their ass at ER when I was there. And it's all about suspension travel today, and I think the A-arms are better all around. Funky will surely chime in and maybe throw up a few sketches to prove his point.
