good post lot of good points
I would like to touch on a point brought up by PDRacing. may be a little off topic but should be considered important for the future of our sport.
It seems mother nature has not been in the snow making mood lately, wich puts the mfg.s in a hurt, then trickles down to us in the form of support. although they are still supporting racing they have much smaller budgets to do it.
some may say they only support snocross? but should you look at the big snocross semi trailers. the top biiling being advertised is not a mfg.
I am not real up on the snocross teams and there sponsors, but an example might be Steve Shuerings rig. has been pretty much all amzoil in the past, now will have Makita also. at haydays one of the rigs that cought my eye was bright yellow and said YELLOW BOOK on the side. I honestly didnt catch what sleds they rode.
My point is, the mfg.s are not funding snocross but riding along with the people that are getting them the most exposure for there money. another example would be nascar, the teams rely mostly on there sponsors , not the mfg.s
so I guess we should be happy that the big 4 are still building sleds for us to race. and start trying to attract some sponsors that may get us noticed.
PDRacing congrats on the sponsor! that is huge for our sport.
