Don't get me wrong, I didn't vote for either candidate since neither share my political or social stances. But calling Fox fair and balanced during this election cycle is like calling the Lions a great football team. It just aint true or honest.

Maxiracer - do you honestly believe Fox wasn't the closest to fair among ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC and FOX?
You can go on FOX news and their stories on the front page are split +/- for Repubs and Dems, they actually watch that closely. Hannity has Colmes targets both but Hannity is much better than Colmes. What other news station has an interesting show with both sides represented? None. They have Olberman and other one sided nut jobs.
I am not saying FOX is 100% balanced, they lean to the right, but they are a hell of a lot closer to the middle than any of the other news outfits.
Buddy's point was they are the most equal - and I don't think anyone can argue against that point.

Points well taken guys. Looking from that perspective, yes, I will agree that portions of fox news programming is closer to center then Hardball, countdown or Larry King, but programs like Hannity's America sole purpose the last month has been to campaign for McCain Palin. Sean based a whole show on a Anti-Semite by the name of Andy Martin because he spoke against Obama.
Actually, my favorite news show fox has is Greta's VanStustern's show, she probably is the closest to the center of any of the TV news shows.
Can't stomach Oreilly for more than a couple of minutes, if he didn't talk over his guests 80% of the time, perhaps it would be different, but I don't like bully boy tactics, might make for good ratings, but it's a poor way debate a topic.
It is good to be back, I still lurk around here from time to time, but it just got way to heated at the end of the elections to venture any imput.

O'reily just tries to make people answer questions and not let them spin into a whole different conversation like almost everybody does. I got no problem with him being loud when barney frank sat there and completly lied and took no blame, frank shoulda got hit over the head with a bat

Maxi,Hannity and Oreily are not news they are talk shows dont forget Allen im a queer Colmes is a Liberal and that canceles that out.Bill is hard on Republicans too.There news programing is very centered.Several college studies have been done and most have said the same thing.They leveled the playing field when it came to National news programing and you cant deny that.They gays across the street watch FOX.
