I wanted to make everyone aware that Jimmy The Greek is in the hospital for bone cancer and has been given 2 weeks to live. This is very sad news for all who know him. Thanks for the heads up Cory---Jimmy is a great guy and one that all of old timers certainly enjoyed being around. I will definitely be attempting to get it in touch.

Thanks. I had heard from Gokey via Olav of the situation. I called Konop and others. Ken and Jimmy raced a lot as competitors over the years. I remember the first time I seen Jim he had a Turf Tiger that just tore up the grass, back in the day.

After Dad died, Jimmy and Olav were there whenever I needed them. Jimmy was a big part of the small success I have had in the last 5 years. And a great voice of reason through a tough time I was dealing with. I love Jimmy, just like a lot of people do.
Jimmy had plans to be a big part of my World Championship run at Eagle River this year.
I spoke with him last night and he made a personal promise that he would see me race one last time at Eagle River this year. He said THAT would be a great way to go out.

Jim asked if his brother Jack would give him a call in the next few days. 715-499-1060. He always called you his long-lost brother, because you were the only person he knew that was his same size.

Update:
The Doctors have also found a Brain Tumor. He is being treated with radiation right now in Milwaukee after being transferred from Madison. He could have Brain Surgery as soon as Thursday. Not good.
Keep fighting Jimmy!!!

Jimmy passed away last night. Snowmobiling just lost a Legend. I will never forget him. I wish more of you who are newer to the sport would have got to meet him.
