can you help me out?
when you go to the USSA website you have to be a member to log in to the classifieds and tech. section. this used to be wide open.
just wondering what the reason is for that. a guy like Bobby could get a lot of help from that site. and it makes the classifieds pretty much worthless if only a member can see them or advertise.
not trying to cause an uprising here just want to bring up a point.
Thanks
ps. I am a member and can not figure out how to get on!

Doug: You need to register on the site. Your registration will come up in front of either the moderator or me to be approved. When your registration is approved you can then post questions or place ads.
That portion of the site is not open to all and is reserved for members questions. We do allow non members to register but you must go through the registration process. Biggest reason for that is we want control over the site. If you recall, or (you can go to archived posts to see it) our very first statement said that it was a tech line for USSA. If arguments started, or excessive comments were made, we would pull off the post. Civil questions from non members, and civil comments, even negative, are accepted but it is NOT a forum, like this site. It is a question and answer only site.Things get out of hand and the posts are pulled off. Hope that clarifies the deal. As to rulebooks, Isr does not have a site. USSA gives one free rulebook with membership of drivers. ISR will sell you direct, as will other suppliers. Bobby probably belongs to Pro-Ice, has he called Wally or his sons, they have always supplied books on request, to members. They may have a charge, (ours is $15 for non drivers), but I'm sure they have some. Each association gets one box with annual affiliation. (20 per box) the balance of books needed by associations must be bought from ISR and have a base cost per box.
Thanks
Regards
Korinek
PS.Thought you'd be off shooting the "thirty pointer" this week.!!!!

not a member of wsa yet and I'm more than likely only going to do 1-3 races, so I cant't see buying a full memmbership.
I just don't understand why ISR doesn't have a website, since they govern most of the snowmobile race cucuits out there.

What rules are you looking for?
Sportsman 600, F 500, and Limited 500 are on USSA's site. We (USSA) wrote the rules on Sportsman 600 and Limited 500 and introduced them several years ago. F-500 was John Hooper and Marcel Fontaine who pioneered the deal. If you are running Sportsman 600 at Eagle you will need to follow USSA/ISR rules, as they are what Todd and Chuck use. If you are only running with Pro Ice, they are a little more liberal and offer a 600 and 700 class I believe. Wally may also have some small variations in sleds that can be used.
Check with Pro Ice if that's where you are running.
