Funk you are justa bitter old man
I am restoring an old ski doo olympic as we speak. the neighbors had been storin it in there shed and didnt want it there no more so i sead drag it over and i been restorin it in my front yard ever since, like 2 years now.just havta move it 2 or 3 times a year to mow, an the neighbors get to look at it when they drive by, its a win win.
its a 71 i think, the headlight flips up.i sat on it yesterday when i got tired while puttin the lights up on the house

So when ya dropped $1000 on it in 1972, and 36 years later its worth $2000? WOW!!  If my IRA performed like that I'd be so ecstatic!!!
Where again do you store that sled Mike? Didn't ya have to have some dealership stick one in the rafters so your wife could get to the wash machine er somethin??

Dam! Yer pretty good Funk......my first new sled was a "72" 399 Cheetah.....think the OTD price was a tick over $1,000.

if thats a close # then it makes me laugh that people brag that their "vintage" is worth TRIPLE what it was new!!! a g then meant a LOT more than 2-3g's nowadays!!
