The MASTERS Circuit has received word from the Jackson World Championship Hillclimb that not only will the Copper Peak Pro Stock and Pro Mod King of the Hill automatically qualify for the World Championship's, but also the Pro Stock and Pro Mod King of the Hill Runner-up.
This years Copper Peak Championship Snowmobile Hillclimb will be on Saturday, Feb 14th, 2009.
Once again only the 30 Top Snowmobile Hillclimbers are eligible to compete at Copper Peak. Those that competed last year get first shot at entering the competition. Then it goes to those that competed at Copper Peak in the past.
After that it goes to the most qualified.
Get your room reservations in ASAP.

You guys want to help be officials? Free Gate, Free Parking, and ONE HECK OF A GREAT PLACE TO WATCH the event.
When are you coming up to go riding? Let me know so we can go for a ride together. You can ride a real machine then...The Yamaha Apex Mtn or (if I get a shock fixed) possibly the Blade.
I hope I can get some Watercrossers to take in the event, and to make sure they tell the Copper Peak Ski Flying staff that they are their because of sponsorship with Watercross. I need to show them results to keep them as an IWA Sponsor next year.
Take care,

I was just thinking that I could save one of the 30 Pro Stock or Pro Mod spots open for the competition to a Watercrosser. Would that be a great way to 'hype' the IWA in front of thousands of fans.
If not, one could run the Sport Division, where all you have to do is go straight up the hill. Problem is the Sport Division doesn't get the attention that the Pro Classes do.
Would that be something if the Watercrosser we had compete in either of the Pro Classes qualified for the King of the Hill!!!!

What are the regulations for pro stock sled wise? Do you follow the same rule structure as RMSHA?

Boy, if we didn't have the oval race in Weyauwega that weekend, you know I would be there for sure. I hope some IWA guys can make it out there, that is one heck of a show! I was there a few years back and it was awesome! Is there anything else the IWA can do to help promote that event? We do have some t-shirts and hats left over, maybe we could send them to you to give away at the event? I think that would be a good way to show our gratitude to Copper Peak and try to add a little something to the event, not to mention the advertising aspect of it. Let me know Skip, and we will bring the stuff to Amherst, Wausau, or Plymouth.
Send me that shock and I'll fix it for you, on the house.

Skip, mabye I'll give it a shot i just need to send my track out and get it fixed. Probably in just a sport division though my sled isn't exactly an open sled or a stock stes either.
Mike are you going out to wausau? are you bring IWA suff for promoting? I'm thinking about it if I get the sled done in time I almost got the motor mounted now and the only thing I realy need is some skii's and mabye a few studs. I was thinking I could bring my waterX sled For promoting if you were going to do some thing like that.

Skip we would be glad to help at Copper Peak , the only thing I was going to try to get my Water Cross sled in to display and promote our sport. But may be able to get Aaron or Dennis to talk to people if they go.

Wow...so much to reply too...
DM, send me your e-mail on a Private message and I'll send you our Rules Sheet. You would run in Pro Mod 600. What I suggest is to have you sign up for Pro Mod 600, Pro Mod 700. The size of the sled doesn't mean anything t Copper Peak. Last years Pro Mod King of the Hill was Matt Tingstad on a Pro Mod 500 Arctic Cat. Tinger then qaulified for the World Championship in Jackson. Over the years the 600 and 700 cc sleds hav done the best. This event is 95% driver, 4% luck and 1% sled.
Bobby, I'd love to have you run. You can run any size track and still run in Pro Stock. However if you have never seen Copper Peak, you're almost better off to run in the Trophy only Sport Division. Then you don't have to go around the gates.
I think most of you know that I am going to promote the IWA no matter what. If anyone wants to bring a Watercross Sled for display, that would be fantastic. The only thing is, it would be good for you to stay by it. We have thousands of fans that take this event in. Wish we had somebody that could set up a tent with the DVD that Ken made. I have a small generator that you could use.
Kenny, I sent you and Karen an e-mail. Same thing for you Mike.
Thanks everyone!
