I heard a rumor that... In BJ this weekend.

The ONLY Points WSA will be keeping track of and counting toward the season points are in the Pro Champ and Semi Pro Champ Classes????

If this is true what is the logic to this???

Wally call me. Maybe we should just stay home this year?

Team's need to show up at the events and compete IF THEY CARE ABOUT POINTS.....

I'm with you 100% Jeff. The folks at CPTC deserve it. Points racing is a big deal and it really helps the individual race sites succeed. Unfortunately, I fear that it might be too late for a reversal on this call in all fairness to those who have not planned accordingly. If anyone decided not to go this weekend because of the non-points status it would be pretty brutal to make that change 5 days before the race.

I hope most teams are as excited as we are for the start of the new season and will come to race regardless of points.

Wow

I thought this was just a rumor?

I never knew it was a done deal.

Screwed again I guess.

If its true, I hope the people who planned not to show up and got there own way, are happy.

Actually, that was just "announced" a week or two ago - it was never fished out for opinions.

The points system was fished out, the no-points at BJ was not.

These last minute changes have now taken two points races away from me.

And I am not *****in, I know chit happens, but just so the people who are making decisions are aware for future reference. I will post this on Pro-ice as well.

"2) December Beausejour race will be a points race for Pro and Semi Pro drivers Only. March Beausejour race and all other WSA races will be a points race for All classes. "

Jeff this is what it says on the website. FOR PRO AND SEMI PRO DIVERS not champ only! This is how "RUMORS" get started. Jeff how will this effect your son? He is only racing in Semi Pro / Pro anyways I thought this year.

Kenlacy, This has been on the site since beginning of November. And Timmer is right had it up for thought aswel, but didnt hear anything back on it just like the points thing so we didnt think it was a problem.

So racers again - IF YOU SEE SOMETHING ON OUR WEBSITE PRO-ICE.COM EMAIL MY DAD THERE ABOUT YOUR THOUGHTS, DONT COME ON HERE AND STATE YOUR THOUGHTS HONESTLY IT DOES NO GOOD, cause well Wally doesnt look on here, and by the time i see anything its usually because someone calls me ot text me saying whats being said on here. This is why WE have our own website and email!!!!!!!!!! But emailing me doesnt do any good either till week before first race till week after last race cause i do have another job and dont check my emails from racing till than.

Next time Jeff have 6 less Miller Lites before reading it and posting. JK
Also Jeff call Wally you know he never looks on this site to see you asking him to call you. I know you have all the numbers buddy.

See ya in a few days up in the great white north burrrrrrrrrrrrr

Nick,

I have used your forums and rarely ever got a timely response. And none of this info was on your forums where it could be discussed. That is why we do it here. Next time post info on your forums and I will be sure to link to them from here.

As for the info you have on your site, a guy would have to know to be looking for it - it is not exactly on the front page - it was mentioned on here about the new points system, but nothing was mentioned about the "no points" until 2 weeks ago - and others are just realizing it. I had no reason to think it wouldn't be a points race. It was a points race last year.

It's not the end of the world for me, I understand scheduling issues and you guys do a great job. I just don't get having a race worth nothing.

Ken,

That is why i said EMAIL. Forums are just that a place where people fo to read things and chat, if there is anything NEW and or IMPORTANT its always first been put up on the "WHATS NEW" area on our site. I will work on the postinfon the forum area see if that helps. Always open to new ideas and things that may help the sport/others out.
